Listening to music

I've noticed that I tend to listen to the same pieces of music repeatedly for a few days (weeks?) at a time and then moving on. Some music I've done this with:
  • many of Beethoven's Piano Sonatas
  • Smetana's Vltava
  • Some of Chopin's Preludes
  • The soundtrack to Rent
  • Rachmaninoff's Preludes
  • First movements of Rachmaninoff's 2nd and 3rd Piano Concertos and Variations on a theme by Paganini
  • Dark Side of the Moon
  • Stairway to Heaven
And, most recently, Tchaikovsky's Variations on a Rococo theme. All of this music is, in my opinion, awesome. I'd highly recommend anyone listen to that music if they have not.

Are these pieces/albums ones that are new to you? I've had similar experiences when I've gotten a new piece of music & listened to the hell out of it, then put it aside for a while. I think that's pretty normal behavior, just wondered what your experience was :)

Most of them were new, however some were in my collection, then I listened to them. Then I listened to them again, etc.
