Well, that question I can answer with a lot of certainty: I am in Omaha, NE anticipating begining an internship at Mutual of Omaha after completing my junior year of college at UNL. Unfortunately, Heisenberg's uncertainty principle seems to apply to me now, as I don't really know what I want to do with myself. Sure there's my senior year, but if I really wanted to, I could leave JDE and finish up my studies in a semester. Then what?
Where to from there?
I could find a job, or I could go on to grad school. But why? What would I research? I have at best a couple faint ideas, but no real research experience and don't really have the time to start. Maybe I should just start flipping coins, I don't know. And at this late hour I think I'll just go to sleep as I have every night recently: uncertain about my velocity, certain about my position.

Oh Yuliy.
I know there are things that you are passionate about. Find one of those and go after it. Think about the one thing in life you wouldn`t be happy not doing anymore and work to find a job that can let you express yourself in that way.
I think that the job environment may not be exactly what you are wanting, but unfortunately it is a part of life these days so take what you can and find the enjoyment in it. Look for the good things every day, life doesn`t seem so big anymore.
hmmmm... grad school means taking those classes which I missed: Namely CSCE 322, Programming Language Concepts. However, that'll bump me up to 18 hours (6 physics 6 JDE 3 math 3 CS). I guess I can do it, but I don't know if I should. It looks easy enough, and I've learned most of the stuff in CSCE 425 Compile Construction, so I guess it won't take too much time. The only problem is that my Mondays and Fridays will suck.
Mondays: 11:30 - 6:20 continuous
Wednesdays: 11:30 - 2:20 continuous
Fridays: 11:30 - 3:20 continuous
I always thought you would make a great professor. You enjoy teaching/helping, don't you?
Also, I was thinking if you truly wanted to develop softwares, you could on your spare time pick up small one or two men projects (there are websites that host those projects) and develop them.
To go into a company where you will be confined to a cubicle (granted, there are places much nicer) and work on something you don't have any passion about (some particular product) wouldn't be fun.
However, if you do work for a company, I think you would make a great developer/thinker for a product like Maple 9 since you love math/cs so much.
You never post anymore :(
Now you know where you are going, don't you?
