Wow. My family is ...err... interesting.
We (very extended family; about 20 people in all) got together at 6 P.M. to celebrate the new year. Everything went well, only between 9:30 and 10:30, EVERYONE LEFT! As a result, I ended up ringing in the new year while watching CNN's coverage of the effects of the tsunami in Sri Lanka. Not exactly how I had planned it.
